  Dear Subscriber                                Member Until:

From Jane Howard, 2024 President …

This Friday morning, Senior Scholars at Queens will meet in Wolfe Hall at PUMC, where we will meet for the remainder of our spring semester.

Recently, Board members and others have expressed disappointment with meetings that are held in person while the speaker  appears via Zoom. Sometimes Zoom becomes a necessity when a speaker’s schedule or location changes. It is not easy to replace a speaker on short notice, so Zoom may become our only option to present their information and maintain our  schedule of speakers. When that occurs, please bear with us and attend in-person anyway to enjoy the social aspects of our meetings which we know is good for our overall health as seniors.

Our Membership Team has some very exciting news to share with us. This
past Sunday, we increased to 811 members. Welcome to each of you whether you are brand new or a long timer.

To make new members more welcome, the Marketing Committee is now hosting new members at the Doughnut Table on Fridays. Stop by to say hello and ask questions.

It is almost time to visit Wildacres for our spring gathering. If you have been planning to write your check and complete your form, please do so this week to join 68 of us for a wonderful time in the NC mountains.
