From Jane Howard, 2024 President …

This Friday, we will hear a very timely and important presentation drawn from the Great Decisions book.  Dr. Sylvie Toska will discuss the United States’ interests in the Middle East (past and present).

On March 22, to celebrate March Madness, wear apparel of your favorite college basketball team.  Perhaps you’ll meet others who support your chosen team, or even a long-lost college acquaintance or a supporter of your first-round foe.

Please consider volunteering. Look for information about volunteer opportunities here.

Great Decisions:

Why Disengagement from the Middle East is Harder than You Think

Dr. Toska's first book, titled Revolutionary Emotions: Emotions and the Spread and Success of Revolt, builds on her six plus years of field work in the Middle East.  Why is disengagement from that region so difficult? She will explain and describe policy suggestions, drawn from her experience and research.
