Senior Scholars is run 100% by its volunteers.
Currently there are over 80 active volunteers that keep the machine running in the background. However, we are always in need of new volunteers to join the team.
The skill sets used are varied and wide. As a retiree (or semi-retired, or soon to be retired) we can certainly find a use for yours.
Volunteer Needed:
Secretary (Board Position)
We need a Secretary beginning in September 2024. This important role is an officer position, and the Secretary is a member of the Board of Directors. Duties include taking minutes at the monthly Executive Committee and Board meetings as well as participating in discussions/decisions. The ideal candidate would have strong organizational/ communication skills and a committed interest in helping to guide the future direction of Senior Scholars.
This role presents a great opportunity to use your current skills or learn new ones. Whether you are a recent or long-term member, this is an excellent way to get to know other members.
